does anyone know what battery i need for a 1989 club car gas golf cart. I know it is twelve volt but what model and info

I would think so, my battery looks like it would work just fine in a small car.

Technically no... you can't use just "any" battery!
the air box sits on top of the battery, If you get one that's too tall, the air box won't fit back on properly!

Club Car specifies a group 70 size battery, a group 75 will work though! (same height, just a bit longer!)

check the battery terminals in your buggy.
I've seen two types, one like in the pictures with a bolt through, and also more conventional car type posts and clamps.
