Default Runs 150 yards and dies...cranks back??

I have a club car model AD 8447 66132 cranks and runs. Seems pretty wore out as it smokes. It will run about 100 yards and die. In a minute or so it will crank back and run again. I bought the lisle spark in line tester after reading here about ignitors but spark is present at all time. I had put an electric fuel pump on here and notice it spits a little gas out the front of the carb after it cuts off when trying to restart. I am wondering if I have an air leak in the fuel tube going into the tank. I am at a loss. I cleaned the carb and it runs better but still has the same problem after running a few minutes.

Sounds like it is flooding. Was the pump you installed a low pressure pump ? Like 2-3 psi ?

Yes I think 4 psi. I just went out there and fooled with it ...same thing. My neighbor broke the tab on the aluminum/pot metal actually bracket where the throttle linkage hooks up. The piece is about 6 inches long and mounts to the engine, rises vertically as part of the throttle assembly. Anyone point me to a replacement part without shedding a arm or leg for it??

I did not see gas droplets then. I pulled the plug and it looks like it is due one. I am not a good plug reader but I am thinking this is not too bad for the amount of oil this thing is consuming. My stupidity for not going plug asap. I will see if I can get one in my two light town.

Tried a new plug no change. I am at a total loss on this. At the moment When it dies the throttle linkage is returning to zero. Could this be a governer issue?

When I suggested checking the spark plug, I was thinking more along the lines of, is it covered with oil or dripping with gas? Not necessarily that the plug itself was bad.

The plug was dry. Had some deposits on it, sooty and black.
