Default Wanting to add a couple mods, will these work for my cart?

My cart's model is MG9948-829958, which is a 99 club car. I'm not sure how to tell what engine is in it.

I really just want a little more "umph", which I think is a fuel problem.

I was going to add the carb jet, high volume fuel pump, and KNN air filter, which all seem like super easy bolt-ons.

For the KNN air filter, does it go inside the airbox or completely replace the air box? If it replaces it, how does the choke work?

kn makes a filter thats a direct replacement for the stock air filter. it still uses all factory control;s.
i know you can get the severe duty belts from tom at ccp and get more ump. if you run the carry all drive belts, its a smaller diamiter belt then the ds belt. it is said to give more torque. and the spring kit and clutch machining tom does at ccp i have heard works too.
what exectly do you want to do...speed or power? kinda hard to get both.

I want "get up", not really top speed. I have a 4 row golf cart that will often carry 8 people, and it can get slow when loaded down...but it slowly gets to top speed.

Do you know how to tell what engine I have?

How does a belt matter? Aren't they all the same, just turning pullys?

Where should I start ck?

First off...
Yep... a K&N filter and a slightly larger carb jet should help!
The K&N air filter is #33-2022, (it's an exact replacement for your filter in your air box)
I don't know what size jet you need. (more info on that shortly)

The "Severe Duty" belt that ckiguy is talking about, I think... would help quite a bit! (I have one!)
Less slipping, and longer wear! But, You have to remember...
Hauling 8 people around will affect the performance of most small engines!

Tom at Cart Parts Plus will be able to help you with everything that you need! (Filter, Jet, & belt)

http://www.cartpartsplus.com/

Speaking of engines... most likely, you have an FE350 11.5hp (as compared to an FE290 9.5hp)
You should have a bar code tag on your engine shroud, and it should look like this:

Hope this helps!

You're right I have the FE350 engine. The only carb jet they have says it's for the FE290:

I read on their forums though that they have a larger one if you call them, so I'm going to try that during business hours.

Will this fuel pump improve performance or is it unnecessary?
http://www.cartpartsplus.com/high-volume-fuel-pump.html

I'm probably going to get this dash too. I like being able to lock the panel.
http://www.cartpartsplus.com/dashboa...-club-car.html

I think I'm going to get this battery indicator too:
Battery Indicator - Solar Panel or Golf Cart 12/24 volt: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Battery Indicator - Solar Panel or Golf Cart 12/24 volt: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Anybody have a how-to for the timing advance key? I think the throttle response is an issue.

CPP has a quite a few different jet sizes not posted on their website! (speaking from experience)

The fuel pump and battery indicator, to ME... may be unnecessary, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd get the fuel pump.

As for the timing advance key, Yes, it does improve throttle response! (again... experience)
It's an inexpensive item that gives you just that little bit of extra "git up and go"!
However, it's not the easiest thing to put in, I'm fairly versed with my cart,
and it took me about 4 to 6 hours to install! (includes a ride to Harbor Freight for an extra large gear puller)
It's under the fan shroud/flywheel, and you have to remove a number of things to install it

If you have the time, mechanical ability and the patience... It's a good mod!

i dont thinnk the fuel pump will make a diffence. but as far as the battery gauge look at scottyb's gauges he has on his store. digital read out and there numbers not bars! and hes a site sponsor!
as far as the belts, the carryall uses a shorter diametier belt. it gives you more torque. i have also beentold it will give you more speed then the ds belt. both pulleys are the same size. i can fly with me in the car and a passenger. i put my 165 lb pooch in the bed, and i loose the top speed, but i still have plenty pick up but with him in the back, i dont like flying that fast! the severe duty belt tom sells will work with both the carryall and the ds, and your case the villager, but i think there all the same size belt. but the kelvlar lined, double ribbed, meaning ribbes on top and bottom, and at 50 bucks i was told, and 25 for a standard belt at the dealer for my carry all, im sorry, if it lasted 10 years, before cracking and time to shange, ill go stock there. or call napa and get a belt. they use gates belts, and if they dont make a belt, it isnt made!

as far as the flyt wheel advance key, i havent tried it or heaerd of any one but don to use it. so hes the best to say crap or fact!

the battery gauge you posted, is a 12/24 volts, it will not work on your cart for battery pack volts

Another great item to add performance is the Stainless Steel header that is offered by Cart Parts Plus.

Does the cpp performance muffler much louder than stock?
