I have Carryall 1 with the flat head engine. How much oil does it take? How do I change the rear end oil, what kind to use and how much? Thanks in advance.

I know you have looked at the "sticky" above these posts/ RIGHT!
Later model engines need about 42 +/- OZs in the crank case And about 22 OZ in the transmission.... Club Car Bi-Yearly Maintenance (1992+ DS carts) Bill |

I sure did and that is why I posted my thread. The sticky is for 92 and up. Mine is a 1989. I also used the search without any results. My engine and transmission is completely different from the later models.

man,,,, work with me here..... My numbers are ballpark ...so they are close... Don't buy a case of either oil and you will be close. Maybe two bottles of each and we will be close! Bill |

Thanks shadowman!! I just wanted a heads up before I started working on this machine. I am somewhat mechanically inclined and have a manual on the way as well as a bunch of parts to replace. Looking forward to servicing this cart. I'll try to remember to post the actuals.
