Default Fe350 crank noise

I have a club car carryall with clockwise fe350 no acr motor pedal start

I was using my cart yesterday when i noticed the getting louder as i drove it.when i got home was determine to find the noise. after process of elimination found that the noise was coming from inside the motor. So i pulled it out and bench started it to be sure. there it was loud as ever. sounded like something broke or came loose. so i removed crankcase cover and found what looked to be two rivets from cam gear but mine were all there so don't know where they came from. i began looking for other causes of noise. removed rockers lifters and push rods all ok. lifters not collapsed and motor sounds good when hand spun then i noticed a lot of play in counter weight and its connecting rods. to the point, is it normal to see play in the counter weight. I can spin it fast enough by hand for it to make noise and may be my problem

much deeper sound than the rivets. they are about 3/4 long and 1/8 diameter and they were under oil screen. dont know how they got there since it is pretty much blocked off by the plate and and oil sensor. i can post some pics tomorrow. they look identical to rivets holding plastic cam gear on. only makes noise on acceleration no clutch assembly on motor now and still making noise. definitely in the motor. thats why i was wonder about weight and its connecting rods. rod ,crank cam and other components nice and tight very little play. want to check all clearances tomorrow

yea...humm.. well the rivets must of held something on inside, can you try and look where the rivets fell out of? or will that require taking apart the whole motor

i pulled everything except crank and can not find anywhere they could have gone. scratched my head for a while. looked at many exploded views and manuals and dont see any where else there used except cam gear. also this is a used cart i got so who knows what hands have been in here. they are definitely broken at one end.

not broken perfect condition. every thing inside was. thats why was scratching my head. the only thing i found making noise was the counter weight and its connecting rods. I build motors for hot rods nothing this small of coarse who'd a thought this would be such a pain. motor ran, no oil burn, smoke or lose of power just louder than my drag cars. figured id catch it before it seized

I'm almost wondering if it's the screw for the low oil level sensor wire. The same thing happened to mine and ended up taking out the balancer rods. I would pull crank out and check the movement on the crank. CC will say you have to replace whole crank but those rods are available and the FSM even says replaceable.
