CC for kids
Just curious what size engines are in the gas Club Cars. I am a fan of Yamaha so, I'm not sure if there are 2 stroke models but, looking to stay with a 4 stroke model. Unsure of what years are the best and what models to look for? The kids are wanting to sell their minibike's and go cart for a golf cart... So, I figured a CC would do the trick! Any and all info is appreciated! Thank in advance!

Re: CC for kids
That's right, CC didn't use any 2 stroke engines, they did use a flathead in the eighties and early nineties, it's a good engine. I bored one out 50 over and shaved the head. It was quite the little runner. Good on hills too. 92 & up went with the 290cc 9hp 4 stroke and then the 350cc. But ... then they did something bad... 1997 they went to a clockwise rotating engine and differential. This severely limits aftermarket applications from that point on

Re: CC for kids
I was going to chime in about the '97 and up engines going the wrong way : , but ScottyB beat me to it.
I don't see a problem with it if you're wanting it to stay stock engine wise, but if you are wanting to go with a big block later you'll be happier by getting a Pre-97 cart to begin with. -Scott H. |

Re: CC for kids
I was thinking about it Scott but, this cart will be for the kids mostly. It may just get some torque upgrades and maybe a big block down the road but a "pre-97" is what I will be looking for... I have 2 minibikes and a go cart to sell first. Just sayin'... If you know anyone
