95 Club car gov
Could someone post a picture of how they zip tied the gov on a 95 club car ds? I have read a lot of posts on it but haven't seen a picture of how to do it. I'm not very mechanical so I need to see it to actually do it.

Re: 95 Club car gov
I use 2 small ties, (rather then just one tie)
Pinch it in the spring to keep it from moving around and/or binding, and make sure to adjust them so the high rpm's are low enough not to bounce off the rev limiter. If that happens, cut them off and retie it again! |

Re: 95 Club car gov
how much of a difference will it make? and if i just pull off the rev limiter will it hurt the motor or is it not enough to do damage?

Re: 95 Club car gov
about 3 or 4 mph before bouncing off the limiter.
Sure... you can disconnect the ground on the limiter, (which I've done) But, I've also adjusted the max rpm's to around 4200, if they're any higher then that, the valves will float, and BANG! there goes your engine! |

Re: 95 Club car gov
I have an "old school" dwell/tach meter for when I used to work on my own cars...
it worked pretty well to adjust my zip ties/rpm's on my cart! |

Re: 95 Club car gov
You can, and you might!
The best thing for you right now is to leave the limiter intact while adjusting the ties, and that'll give you a stopping point to keep from over-tightening the ties, and over-reving the engine! |

Re: 95 Club car gov
Well you can get ready to extend the starter ground strap and fuel lines after the lift. Might need to.
