Kf82
I'm looking for a motor for my 89 club car I don't have a lot of money but the motor that came off was a kf82 and it had a broke cam and balancer in the motor which buffed the block

Re: Kf82
i got a cam i can send you if you wanted to try and piece it back together otherwise i would point you in the clone engine direction in the big block section , you may be able to sell some of the old engine parts to other members to cover the cost of the new engine , someone is always looking for the ignitor and coil off of one of those and sometimes carbs , cylinders and airboxes. depending on your skills you could do the swap and only have a few hundred in it

Re: Kf82
I have lots of motor parts but only one camshaft at the moment. I plan to save it as a spare. But if you need anything else just give me a shout.

Re: Kf82
I had two ignition coils but I sold them. I'm starting to wonder if the parts I have in the basement are parts that nobody really wants...I guess the only parts I have left are the parts that never break and are never needed...
Here's a brand new "exciting coil" (some it the ignitor coil) for sale in the parts forum, is this what you're looking for? Hard to find these ones used, let alone a brand new one: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-...-car-kf82.html |

Re: Kf82
If u do get a diff cam make sure to drill out rivits and replace with hardened bolts. the rivits are y they let go. then u can turn it up a bit.

Re: Kf82
Here's a pic of my cam that broke. You can't see the broken part but the broken one is the one on the left. Mine didn't break because of the rivets but I've seen and heard of others who have. The replacement cam I used is the one on the right, and it has the stock rivets replaced with bolts.
My cam broke because the connecting rod let go from the crank and smacked it: |
