Default Anybody know what this is?

Just got this in and have not a clue what it is, besides an engine.

It is a Robyn engine. 2 cylindar. Probably a 9 hp. By the looks of the clutch, it came out of an E-Z-GO. Look for the model number plate on it and it will tell us more. These are good engines as long as the valves are adjusted properly.

Thanks Rusty, I'll look. In the center photo you can see a hole in the block. Can it be plugged? or is this the camshaft side. We can turn it over by hand and it seems to have compression.

You probably could plug it but why go though all the trouble rebuilding it when the block is junk.
Head is worth 100$ if its in good shape, clutch worth some money, maybe the ignition stuff, id just part it out.

Id bet money on a busted connecting rod.Ive got a engine sitting here with a busted rod, but the block is still good.
