Question Input Shaft Oil Seal

Anyone ever replace one? I've noticed that after a few hours of riding, my input shaft weeps gear oil. It's apparently splashing up from the bottom of the transmission case while riding. Since the oil level is a few inches below the input shaft, once I'm parked, the oil settles back down and no longer leaks. Not a huge issue, but if it's an easy fix I'd like to do it.

If I did want to replace it, does the case have to be split or can I do it by just taking off the driven clutch and getting at it from the outside?

Actually, looking at that diagram, I'm thinking #62 is what I'm talking about. I could be looking at it wrong though.

*edit: I think I am looking at it wrong.

Craig, I am with you on this one but I think mine is coming out of the top. This is one area of my cart that I have not gotten around to dig into. The transmission/rear end is completly covered in about 1/4" of greasy mess from top to bottom. I am sure it is leaking somewhere and appears to have been leaking for a long time from the amount of oil/dirt residue.

Does it leave an oil spot on the floor?

Clean it off and see if it gets oily again, and look to see where it's coming from. The oil level is below the middle of of the tranny case so it would take a helluva lot of oil splash to make it leak at the top, IMO.

What type of gear oil are you using in the case?
I pulled the input shaft tonight, so I can replace the worn splines. Everything came out easy except the seal cap. Probably replacing that now also, but figured I might check the oil too.
