One more rookie question. Spring goes towards case, not tire right? I'm used to snowmobiles and this is back wards for me. I'm used to spring away from case.

Well i figured it out just by looking at the clutch the spring goes first on driven clutch. But no one knows the torque spec on a driven clutch bolt???? Really guys?? WoW?? Ive looked under just about every stone this site has without a spec yet. Can i get a service manual somewhere, ill pay whatever it costs?? Went with the avg snowmobile spec, I guess that will work for now. Thanks, chris

Glad to help!

I bought my manuals for my DS at my CC dealer before I got to know BGW's fine sponsors!
I did a quick search, and didn't find any maintenance and service manuals for your 04 Precedent,
but, I bet they could get you one for less then what I paid at my dealer.

Don’t know what size bolt that is on you ezgo, but the bolt he’s talking about is 5/16-18 x1”. 40lbs will snap it off in the input shaft. I “torque” those with a standard size 1/2” box wrench. Snug is about right with a tiny dap of blue lock tite.

Thread is also 6 years old. O.o
