Default How to remove carb

I recently got an 87 cc DS gas. The previous owner never did any maintenance to it so I changed oil, air filter, fuel filters and spark plug. It ran great. Now recently it only runs good if I choke it. I want to clean the carb. I have never cleaned a carb.

1. How do I take it apart to clean it?
2. Any tips are appreciated.

Default Re: How to remove carb

Most all carbs are similar in their set-up and cleaning is usually the same. It is difficult to explain how to clean a carb in words, try youtube - I would be suprised if there wasn't a video on it. Heck, there's probably a video on how to change a light bulb with a million hits.
