Question Need Help. Getting poor spark

I have a 1994 Club car and trying to figure out why it doesn't run. The battery seemed to be an old car battery so not even sure if this has the correct juice, but it was 12 volts and seemed to turn over the cart pretty good. Of course after about 15 times the battery started to loss its juice. I do plan on replacing the battery, but also not sure if something else might be wrong.

When I push the gas pedal the cart just keeps turning over it doesn't seem to have enough juice to fire. I pulled the plug (new) and it seems to have spark, but to me it seems very light (battery seemed to be charged at this time). Now I am not sure if this is normal or not as I am use to working on cars and bikes, but to me it did not look very strong.

Thought this might be the battery, but the owner said that the reason they took the entire cart apart in the first place was because it would run great than all of a sudden just die. Could someone help?

Also I can not find the full version of this service manual anywhere. Could someone please send me one?

I know a battery is on the list to buy. Any thoughts of a good one that isn't going to charge me an arm and leg? Also my thoughts from reading all these post is this might be the ignition coil or the rpm as well. Is there any ignition coils that are interchangeable and less expensive? Use to work on alot of bikes and snowmobiles and used alot of lawn mower parts that were the exact same models so thought that also might be the case on a golf cart. I appreciate any help.

Sorry for the book. Please help!

Dave

THE COIL AND IGNITOR ARE seperate on this cart order a 97 plus coil ignitor to upgrade it they are all in one , this is a typical problem and the repair is to replace the parts with the updated unit. heat or engine speed causes it to fail and it will fail intermittenly until it completely fails and

nobuckbuild- thank you. So I understand the 97plus coil has the RPM and coil in one? If that is the case do I need to take off the current RPM coil from the cart? Is it an easy bolt on or will some modification be needed? Sorry new to this cart.

96/97 mid year issue, ignitor may be behind the rev limitor look for a small one prong silver thing if so then could be one or other. if you have a spark tester on it then cut the black rev limiter wire and if you increase in spark and have no issues then that is your problem..........the ignitor is in the coil on 97ish cc........I have seen it both ways and the tech says its easy to tell by the rotation

Thanks guys. I have a 94 so hopefully the 97 coil plus is a plug and play for everything.

The 1997 Ignition coil with the ignitor built in CLUB CAR PART # 1019092-01. Would this be the correct coil to add to my 94?

I take it at that point all I do is disconnect the RPM limiter that is currently on the cart and hook it to this 97 coil correct? I just want to be sure. Sorry.
