Default Gas Club Car Carryall Vs. DS

I am not sure if there is a clear cut answer....but there seems to be differences when I try to order parts.

Is the Gas Club Car Carryall the equivalent to the Gas Club Car DS?

I had always thought they were identical carts with the exception of the utility/dump bed being on the carryall.

Is this NOT the case?

I always question this when I go to order parts because 90% time it ends up being DS parts...the other 10% it will actually state "fits CC Carryall".

Thoughts, comments....from anyone with experience?

Thanks!

Not a lot of experience with DS, but lots with Carryalls. If you need engine parts, it's all the same for the most part. Suspension and, obviously, body parts are different. What kind of parts are you looking for? If you are going thru a reputable dealer, give them the model and serial #'s and have them look up the part you need.

Thanks for the feedback.....right now I am lookin at lift kits. Spindle kit vs. double A-Arm? Not sure whats better?

I want to order something for quality not just based on price. My 1999 Gas Carryall doesn't have front brakes and some of these kits I see 4-wheel brake mechanism with the kit.

I just don't want to order something wrong and be messed up in the long run.

I was told I cant put 14" wheels on because they will rub on the tires with a 6" lift kit so I should stick with 12" wheels/tires.

if you do not have front brakes they are the same suspension

14" rims are no different than 12" rims. they will not rub. it is the outside diameter of the tire you have to worry about

if you order a kit for front brakes it only has the provision to bolt them up. if you don't have them no big deal. except the extra money you spent for nothing.

the only thing may be if you already have hd rear leaves. don't order a kit with them!

A-arm is better for off road spindle for light duty
