Default Earlier tube seat frame on later body fit??

I replaced the fiberglass rear body on my 1991 club car with a later plastic type. I bought a new seat and was going to use my tube type seat frame but it just doesnt seem to set right on the body.
Is this normal? Do I need the later style plastic end handles?
Thanks guys

The seat should work just fine. They had the old style seat frames on the plastic bodies until 2000.

Didnt the body style change in 2006? Thats what mine is and the seat barely rests on the sides, maybe 3/8 inch on each side

The body change was in 2000.5 Silly a$$e$

The newer seats are about 3 inches narrower than the old ones with the tube frames. Aalso the plastic handles of the newer ones just bolt to the seat bottom. Not the nice reinforced mounting of the tube frame type

The seats are easy to tell apart if they have the stock cushions on them. Older ones have lines across and the newer ones have them half n half as I remember. My carts are at camp and not in front of me
