Default Best Way To Apply Seafoam Spray??

What's the best way to apply the Seafoam Aerosol Spray? I have seen multiple posts with different uses...however what is the best way to use it on a 1999 CC?

I have used the original Seafoam as a fuel additive and have ordered the Spray to try further.......

Thanks:-)

Is this a "fogging" deal ? What are you trying to achieve ? Seafoam is a good product but it would help to know what your goal is.

I am just doing some maintenance and thought some of the SeaFoam spray would help clean the engine a bit.

I read a few threads but they all seem to deal with using original SeaFoam through the vacuum hose.

Should I run this through the butterfly in the carb because it is the spray?

I have already added the original SeaFoam to the fuel tank.

Just wanted to be sure the best use/application for hot to use the spray.

I have never done this so I wanted to be sure I do it correctly.

I'm not sure what you mean by "fogging".....?

Thanks for reading!

Funny you bring this up Frank!
A couple months ago, my best friend bought a can of Seafoam spray, and was more then excited to tell me about it!
Of coarse, me, being an avid Seafoam (liquid) user, was also curious about how and why it works,
After a quick internet search for Seafoam, their website tells you the how's and whys for the use of the spray.

Basically, it's a carburetor cleaner, BUT... it does more then just clean the carb!
It goes deeper into the intake system, it helps remove deposits from the whole intake system,
and if you follow the directions properly, you can use it to get even deeper into the engine,
It helps to remove carbon deposits from the cylinder heads, valves and pistons without disassembly.
(hence, the "fogging" that Chris mentioned)

There is one note that Seafoam expresses: "Do not use on Diesel intake systems"

Here's just one link to Seafoam spray!

"Fogging" is a method employed when machinery goes into storage Frank. Basically, it applies a light protective coating to the engine internals to help prevent corrosion. It's particularly popular with the boating crowd since their engines see a lot of wet use and aren't generally able to be stored in a dry warm area over winter. The method is to spray into the intake while the engine is running to the point that the motor starts to sputter and die. Then shut off and drain the carb. In my motorbike, I run a pint of Seafoam (liquid) to five gallons of petrol every Autumn before storage. It helps big time with keeping varnish deposits out of the jets in the carbs and also blows away carbon and other deposits from the valves etc.
It's cheap insurance for your engine and isn't the snake oil that some other products are. It's been around for years.

Yes Frank but be aware that CC's are sensitive to air intake leaks so stick her in maintenance mode and try to keep the rpm's at a steady pace. Short bursts of seafoam until the engine starts to bog down then stop and repeat 3 / 4 times. Last squirt let the engine die out then replace the intake hose and start her back up as normal. Make sure you are in a well ventilated area because the cart is going to smoke pretty hard as the carbon burns off.
