Default Cart Smoking

well my carts has been smoking for a few weeks its definitely burning oil so im going to try running some 10-w40 and if that dosent work i suppose ill have to replace the rings could anything else be cuasing the problem

i think 99 but im not sure about the motor beacuse my friend who sold it to me has 2 but it is a fe290 but could the rings be the only problem

i just looked at the fe 290 piston its like 20 bucks more so ill do that too

i adjustes the valves this afternoon didnt seem to help the correct adjust ment is .005 right

im starting to think that the valve cover vent is blowing oil into the carb so im going to try it with it off tommorow

I have same problem with smoking motor.It starts smoking when it gets hot,starts to begin to foul plug and rolls smoke.I have changed oil ,plug,air filter with on luck.Any help would be great as I am new to carts.I even lower the oil level with no luck to smoke.I am almost ready to rebuild motor,but I hate to if any thing else can cure problem so let me hear from you guys ,thanks Jackie
