make club car idle

I have my buddies club car and we read an article about making them idle and not shut off when you lift off the gas, is this bad for motor?

Mine has been like that for a couple of years now with no problems yet.

For the past year, mine is set up to idle and no problems - much smoother take offs and gives it a chance to warm up in the winter.

Just over 4 years... Nothing but a fouled spark plug once!
BUT... It was mostly due to the carb adjustments that I made.

Is there a thread on here somewhere on how to do this? My Grandpa's cart is a gasser but I have it a lot and he has one of my sparkies (easier for him to deal with), and I'd like to set it up to idle.

I may be overlooking it somewhere, but remember I'm a sparky guy, go easy on me please!

thanks for the advice, going to set it up this weekend and give it a try, now does anyone know if the same can be done to a g16 yamaha, i know i am crossing the streams

I don't believe so ,on the g16 I had the clutch would be engaged as soon as motor turns over and I was told it was opperating properly.
