cart wont start after running perfect

Hey all-
Just bought a 1990 ish gas club car. Everything worked great until one morning I got in and turned the ignition to "on", pressed on the gas, and nothing happened. figured it was electrical so traced the problem to the starter, which was getting zero volts. The battery was fully charged, and the only way to get the car started now is to use a screw driver to connect the two posts on the solenoid. This will start the car, and it will run until I let off the gas. I just bought and replaced the solenoid, and no wires are visibly disconnected or broken. Anyone have these problems and know of some possible problems I could be having? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you check the micro switch?..........................................8 )

Im guessing micro switch. Check the voltage coming in and make sure it coming out. Then check voltage at the solenoid. Positive on one side and negative on the other. If you not getting voltage then it wont engage the solenoid

new micros installed.. and nothing still? i have installed a new seloniod and new micros? what else am i missing? the Selinoid is getting power (12.14v) when tested on the large poles.. I press the gas pedal and i get nothing on the smaller two sides?

are you certain you wired the solenoid back up right?............................
