1989 Club Car ds Oil light on??

Hey just wondering I have a 1989 club car ds gas golf cart, and the oil light is on. The oil is topped up, but is their an issue with my engine? The engine in my car is a Kohler. It runs well but when I get the engine really hot, is sometimes goes out, does anyone might know what my problem may be?

The stock engine is not a Kohler, so yours has been transplanted. There is a good chance they just didn't hook up the low oil light as the new engine may not have had that provision.

Sorry I can't help on the overheating issue

It was a club car engine. From 92 on I think they were Kawasaki engines

On an 89, it was a KF82 (flathead) Kawasaki engine!

I didn't think the flat head was a Kawasaki engine?

KF82 is a Kawasaki.
