Default Installing spring stiffener from ebay?

Hi all
I bought a set of the spring stiffeners from ebay, they look like a 16 inch long bar of metal and they go under the existing springs in order to stiffen them for extra load like the back seat i want to put on.

THey said 5 minute install and for the life of me,i cannot get them on,i have a 95 DS.

I removed the u bolts that hold the axle to the spring and tried jacking under it,but it wont separate from the axle it seems. I know i have to be doing something blatantly stupid and i was hoping someone here would have the answer.thanks!

Try removing the 3 inch bolt at the aft end of the factory spring...that should allow you to get the 16" spring installed. Then re install everything.

Yes, support the frame...

Jack up the rear of the cart and support the frame...When you remove the bolt ( yes the 3" one ) that will take the pressure off the spring. This will allow you to get the new spring added to the existing spring.
