Installing spring stiffener from ebay?
Hi all
I bought a set of the spring stiffeners from ebay, they look like a 16 inch long bar of metal and they go under the existing springs in order to stiffen them for extra load like the back seat i want to put on. THey said 5 minute install and for the life of me,i cannot get them on,i have a 95 DS. I removed the u bolts that hold the axle to the spring and tried jacking under it,but it wont separate from the axle it seems. I know i have to be doing something blatantly stupid and i was hoping someone here would have the answer.thanks! |

Quote:
Jack up the rear of the cart and support the frame...When you remove the bolt ( yes the 3" one ) that will take the pressure off the spring. This will allow you to get the new spring added to the existing spring. Bill |
