2001 Club Car Parts
Well as it has turned out my 1996 has turned out to be a 2001. I became aware of this from reading this forum. THANKS AGAIN. The previous owner told me it was a 96 model. So much for assuming. It is the 19th hole edition MG0134. Where is the best place to buy parts for it? Anyone have any points of interest about this model that I may need to know?

Your cart has come a long way, in a short time PCC!
Tom is awesome to work with... I'm glad you got the hint! Whether or not CPP is a southern company makes no difference to me, I get my stuff in 2 days... To me? customer service is everything! .02 |

Re: 2001 Club Car Parts
I am aware now that 3 ago months I bought a cc 1996 driven clutch and put it on a 2001 model and the drive clutch is now being rebuilt. Another question; What is the difference in the 96 and 01 clutches and can it be converted by just changing the spring?

Re: 2001 Club Car Parts
rotation changed in 97. clockwise to counter clockwise! or vise versa.....
di you verify with both id tags? theres a tag behind the key switch too, unless you can tell the one under the dash has not been messed with. also look at your motor... on the back side of the fanshrould thers a engine data tag, gives a bunch of epa bull crap, displacement and a dom box thats the dae of manufactuer of the engine, should be a 4 digit nuber example...0606 for june of 2006 . hope this help to confirm your finding! and i thought most villigers had the 400 motor over the 350 motor. |

Re: 2001 Club Car Parts
Thanks; It is a 2001. It is what is called a beverage cart with a little more suspension. Looks like a little truck with black side boards on a flat bed. It is a clockwise rotating motor. I bought a counter clockwise driven clutch and put it on about 3 months ago. It seemed to work at the time. Now I am having a drive clutch installed and have discovered that I have the wrong driven clutch. It looks the same as a 2001 clutch except for the spring. I may be wrong but I think the only difference is the spring and the clocking. My question is can the spring just be replaced and set up to run clockwise? Thank you .

Re: 2001 Club Car Parts
Yes, it can work the other way with a spring change. Remember you will be using the opposite slides when you switch.
