Default Replace bearings in Accelerator pivot shaft brackets?

I have a few 2001 DS's and in a couple of them there seems to be a lot of play in the accelerator pivot shaft. I don't have the carts in front of me at the moment but I think that the bearings in the 2 support brackets may have fallen out or are severely worn. The excess play causes problems with getting my parking brake to engage and stay engaged. I see that I can buy the brackets which already have the bearings installed but this seems like a waste as the brackets themselves should be fine. Is it possible to buy just the bearings and press those into the brackets? Anyone done this?

Not that I'm aware of. You usually have to buy the 2 brackets and the shaft usually has wear in it. So figure on replacing that also. Split the plastic sleeve with a sharp razor if it won't slide on the shaft.

Got one set of brackets off and it appears that the insert is a brass bushing rather than a bearing and the shaft seems fine. Might see if I can scrounge up a couple bushings that will work as the closest Club Car dealer is quite a distance from me here in Central America.

Well it does look like the bushings are sold separately but I don't see them on the schematic.
