RPM Limiter Help
I have a 2001 Carryall 6 with the FE350 engine. I have bench tested the RPM limiter and it tests bad. Can I bypass/remove the limiter, or should I replace it? If I should replace it, how can I tell if I need the "clockwise" or Counterclockwise" replacement limiter?
Thanks! |

Re: RPM Limiter Help
IF... you replace your limiter, your going to want a 97+ (clockwise) limiter for your 2001!
I'm not sure it's a good idea to completely remove the limiter, (bullet plugs and all...) And yes you can bypass it, remove the ground wire from the left mounting bolt, tape it up, and just let it hang there! Lynx - Brake cable extentions 001.JPG I have to warn you about bypassing the limiter though... IF your governor has been tampered with, or the spring is zip tied for more speed, flying down a long steep hill at WOT may prove to be catastrophic to your engine! |
