2000 cc ds
I have gas pouring out the intake of the carb and gas in the crank, I replaced the front snubber motor mount cause it had disappeared and was clunking hard do you think this jarring of the motor may have messed the float up in the carb? I plan to do an oil change then plan to tear the float down to free up the float, should I worry about the motor now that all this gas got into the crank case or will it be fine once I do an oil change?

Sorry I don't do forums but I also adjusted the throttle cable could this have caused the gas issue?

Re: 2000 cc ds
Not sure if this will help you or not but I too have a 2000 CC ds that I just now have got up and running. I ran into an issue where gas would leak out of the bottom of the carb AND run out of the inlet for small air tube.
Took the carb apart and found out that the float was stuck and causing the gas leak issues. Once I had the float where it needed to be the gas leak issue disappeared. Good luck! |

Re: 2000 cc ds
Carb vent tube might be plugged.
Just had an issue with 89 CC DS gas pouring gas out of the carb and not wanting to run. Turned out the vent tube (which runs down from carb and exits near bottom of engine) was plugged solid with dirt. Cleared tube and it runs fine, again. |
