Default 1980's utility cart, bad engine - going bigger

Greeting to the Wild Buggy Builders.
Bought a junker today with a Broken Rod, don't know the year as the tags are missing. Think it is from the 80 and has a FZ340. Thinking of putting a 13 hp http://www.harborfreight.com/engines...epa-60340.html from Harbor Freight, only problem I see is that it has a straight 1" shaft which means I won't be able to use the old clutch off the Kawasaki. Am I starting a nightmare? I have old parts from the old engine, if I can figure for sure what it is.

The solution to your taper problem: http://www.cartpartsplus.com/tapered...?search=clutch An adapter for 1" straight shaft engines for the tapered clutches.

By the way, how many extra HP does the blower scoop add??

Thanks for the quick reply and solving my problem.
I'll now go to the engine swap form to learn more.

I'm guessing it's an '89 or a '90 Club Car Carryall I. What's the serial number up under the passenger side glove compartment? Lots of guys here seem to be looking for ignition coils for those (if it's an '89 or older).

Sorry for off topic question but I have an 85 with a 92 choke button. Can you tell me what the diameter of the air hose is at the choke end of yours?

Thanks,
Steve
