Default oil light on, choke out or it dies

Hi Guys,
My 1500 club car (2006) oil light comes on after riding about 500 yards then wants to die unless i keep the choke out and then it only sputters at best..driven in dusty conditions could a clogged oil filter cause this??////
Has new air filter and gas filter???

Thanks!

oil level ok? as for cgoking it to keep it going start with fuel ,system its starving for fuel.................pull the fuel line at carb and crank over see if shes pumping fuel if so than you may have to tear the carb off and go over it really good if its not pumping to the carb start at fuel pump you can take them apart and clean them or buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it....also check fuel filters and replace if needed..........2006 any warranty? if so don,t touch it let the dealer deal with it..........................

Will do... I put new gas filter, and air filter on is the fuel pump in the gas tank like a car?I followed the gas line from tank to filter to carb didn't see it.. may have over looked.. why is it okay when it sits for awhile then once it warms up it surges and i have to pull the choke out???
I did add oil but I know it needs to be changed which I will do .. is 10w30 synth best?

Thanks again !

fuel pump should be mounted to the outside of gas tank on the front side.......have you checked your oilk to make sure theres no gas getting in it? cause if gas is somehow getting in it that would thin it out and cause light to come on.....is oil level overfull? nothing wrong with amesoil syntehic at all.............and please all forgive my crappy spelling these past few days its time for a new keyboard and time to turn the lights on when doing this don,t know why i sit here in the dark and do it....................................

Thanks Tom,
How hard is it to clean the fuel pump.. I called the dealer he said it is on the honda engine before the carb but after the fuel filter .... there is not one on my fuel tank anywhere unless inside... I have put off taking off the middle bar between the seats off and getting at the carb but it sounds like there lies my problem... how accessilbe is the carb ??? any special tools needed it is 3hrs away at a deer lease???
Thanks Again !!

i,m not fimiliar with the honda engine at all........but if its between the fuel filter and the carb just followe the hose going off the filter to the carb and if theres some sort of device with the fuel filter line going into it and a line coming out that goes to carb that has to be the pump, as for carb have a 1/4 inch socket set a few smaller screw drivers and a set of metric wrenches up to 13mm shouldn,t be anything on there bigger than that..........good luck and if you can post some pics we may be able to tell much better.........................
