Default Removed governor-left rev limiter alone

First off new member here. Lots of good info on here. I have a 2010 Club Car DS with fe290. When I got it top speed was 11 by GPS. I did loosen the bolt on governor. ( I have a tach) Now by the GPS I hit 24 mph. RPM was 3900. I have not touched the rev limiter and will not. At what RPM will limiter kick in? I have seen different numbers in various post. I do not plan on running the cart this hard for extended periods as I do not want to do any damage. Is what I have done a pretty safe way to obtain more occasional speed without engine damage?
Also I have a new machined driven clutch with power spring to install from carts parts plus as soon as the puller arrives. Thought this would be nice for some light trail riding. Thanks in advance!

I have since found at what rpm the rpm limiter kicks in at. According to my tiny tach it is 4150.
THe engine seems to run quite well right up to the limiter.

It is very hard to bounce off that limiter, just an fyi. Others have reported breaking the cam from repeated use.

I've not experienced this as I have yanked that rpm limiter from every cart I have ever kept.

I thought about taking the limiter off. But I have only hit it twice. Never backfired just shut down. Maybe leaving it on will keep anyone else from blowing it up?
