Default Valve problem

Ok guys I took the rocker arm cover off and found that the exhaust valve push rod not seating on the rocker arm...an then noticed the exhaust valve spring was some what compressed.so I spun the engine over while I pushed down on the rocker and it did as it should.but the valve spring is still staying compressed almost 1/4 inch lower than the other one..so what do I do now
