i have a 1993 gas club car .Man it really seems like it is going to run but it just never moves.it just acts like it is idoling w pedal down n forward .i don't think it is a fuel problem because it does not sound like the fuel is even having a chance to get anywhere. any suggestions-thanks

Pull the spark plug and see if it's wet after you've cycled the motor for a few seconds with the pedal. If it's wet, you're getting fuel, but you may not have spark.

If it's dry, pull the fuel inlet line that comes from the tank to the carb to the carburetor off and push down the pedal again, if it spurts fuel, you're at least getting fuel to the carb.

i pulled the fuel pump and hoses .obviously no gas pumping through any hoses.the inside of the pump was not completely dry but i don,t think was pumping enough gas in.would you just clean or replace the fuel pump and see if that will fix it

So now that you've resolved the fuel issue, this means you're getting fuel into the combustion chamber, which should mean your spark plug is wet after a few seconds of cycling the motor?

If so, test for spark. Pull your spark plug and hold it with a pair of insulated pliers. As you hold it with the pliers, hold the body of the spark plug up against the top of the motor (to ground it). Then push the pedal to begin the motor cycling. The spark plug should start clicking and you should see it sparking. If it has no spark you'll need to find out why.

If you checked for spark outside in the sunshine it may be hard to see. Push it into an area where you can verify there is nothing, I have made that mistake before. And make sure the metal on the engine you are grounding to is bare and not full of grease and grime so it makes good contact.
