Default KF82 Splash Arm?

I have a good friend and a mechanic fixing up my motor for me. And they got the motor apart today finally, and found metal in the bottom of the motor. They told me "on the phone" that it looks like the "splash arm" busted off. And from that possibly caused the piston and rod to not get the oil it needed causing it to burn up and eventually wear itself out. Piston rod and crank are no good.

But I looked for this "splash arm" on the few sites im ordering from, and can't find anything.

I also read another post here on BGW, and one person said they never put one back on and bolted up the new rod and ran great ever since. I would really like to order parts tonight but, I can't seem to find this piece that I may or may not need.

The post I saw says its part #1012881 which is a lock washer, and #1012880 which is the splash arm.

Exclamation Re: KF82 Splash Arm?

You do need it. Don't assemble the motor without it. That splasher is the essentially only way for your crank, rod, cam, and side bearings, etc. to get oiled. Not installing it would just be asking for another failure.
