drive clutch stuck
Hello all, i have read many posts on here about removing the drive clutch. I purchased a drive clutch puller. Still no luck, My drive clutch retaining bolt is left hand tread and the puller was hardened steel. I bent the tapered end of the puller trying to pop the clutch off. I did hit the starter pulley with a rubber mallet while i had pressure on the drive clutch puller with no luck. I am helping my uncle fix his cart because he cannot afford too. The last thing i wanna do is tear up something else. The reason i have the engine out is because it leaks oil so bad. For the record I am not made of money either. I have priced clutches and would like to save the clutch i have now. Any ideas would be great.

Re: drive clutch stuck
To be honest I don't know the year, the clutch retaining bolt has left hand threads. I would guess late 90's. I took the engine over to a golf cart shop yesterday and they broke there puller off in it so I don't feel so bad. I left the engine with them. I have a feeling there gonna rip me a new one, but what do you do? I took his cart apart last Friday for what I thought would be a few hour job. I have replaced the clutch in my truck in 4 hours, this little golf cart engine has whipped my butt!

Re: drive clutch stuck
Under the glove box area on the passenger side, up on the top of the floorboard is the serial number. Should start with "AGxxxx..." Mine starts with "AG87xxx". The first two letters after the AG are the model year. Mine's an '87.
