Picked her up for $500 and she runs and drives.
As far as i can tell it is a 96+ Havent found the VIN. When i got it, it took way too fast, i adjusted the throttle and found a good spot that i was happy with. And i cleaned the clutches also. But i figured id join so i can have help with some of my questions and learn some junk. Right now im working on the ignition, the stock one had the key broken off and was broken. I went to fleet farm and bought a universal ignition. I wired it up and got it to work, but it runs without the Gray wire hooked up... not sure exactly what it does. i know it runs to the coil according to the diagram. on page 22/40 (wont let me post a link to the manual) I could also use some help locating a seat Shes not much, but itll be great the 4 weekends a year i will use it. *also wont let me post a picture of my cart* |

Re: New member First Par Car
Welcome to the forum.
It would be nice if you could find your VIN so you would know the year. Those later models are a little different that what is usually posted here. Raise the body and look near the driver side rear wheel or on the passenger side area under the dash. Does it have a Briggs and Stratton engine? |

Re: New member First Par Car
Post a pic once you are able too. Sometimes folks can at least give a date range from a pic. The good news is that from about '89 through when Columbia stopped making Par Car golf carts the mechanics are the same.
I have a vintage Pargo and a Vintage Cushman that are like that too. I know that the Pargo is late 60s and the Cushman is early 70s but there is no way to tell the exact year. It doesn't matter though because the parts are all the same for these carts during those date ranges. |

Re: New member First Par Car
They started putting 4 strokes in them in 1996 so it is a 96+ just dont know exactly what year. The engine VIN doesn't really help me figure out what year but it can help you find the parts for the engine. Does it have the 9 hp or 13 hp engine?

Re: New member First Par Car
I always forget about that late 90s change to 4 strokes. I know very little about those.

Re: New member First Par Car
We tracked motor serial numbers quite a bit, so I can look it up if you post it.

Re: New member First Par Car
Are you in WI?
That motor "code" is tied to a 1999 P4G (Eagle Gas) VIN 8E-29890-D9, shipped from the plant 4/18/2000 and first sold to Serendipity Golf in Viroqua. |
