Question p4g vacuum line anyone?

I have a 1994 columbia par car P4G Gas 2 cycle. ( i think its a harley motor) So i got this par car as a basket case all torn apart and i rebuilt it. Everything is new on the motor but the actual crank case housings. flipping through the manual i found out they might take fuel pump????? I'm used to 4wheelers that you just hook up the gas line from the tank to the carb and ur done. I have not tried starting it to see if it runs. but the part they did not have in the box was a fuel pump so I'm having a hard tome finding the right one. manuals for these stop at 1992 for some reason. I guess to some it up the question i am asking is does this model take a fuel pump? and if so the 3 prong type takes a vacuum line to work and i can not find the hook up anywhere. I have looked and i just don't see a vacuum line hook up on the crank like it should be. I went page by page on the manuals from earlier years and they don't show where the vacuums line hook up prong on motor is either. please help i want to ride it so bad and I'm at dead end.

Also if i bought a 2-4psi electric gas fuel pump off eBay cheap just incase i can't figure it out. I was wondering if anyone else has ever heard of someone taking vacuum fuel pump off and using a little generic electric fuel pump??

Alot of people use the low psi electric pumps. They work just fine. The 3 prong vacuum type fuel pump will work too if you can find the vacuum port on the engine. Usually they are on the intake manifold behind the carb probably on the lower side where you can't see it.

yes mine does have that hole but i thought that was for the 2cycle oil line to go to. i just plugged it because i took oil pump off and just mix my gas myself.

Your cart would have had an oil pump for sure but I thought those were gravity fed. I am not sure. That crankcase line you plugged may well have been for fuel. Just a guess though.

All the same, I have two Columbias and I maintain two HDs for family members. I installed electric pumps on all 4. I posted the conversion instructions a while back. It's simple. They just wire to the solenoid.

I use Carter model #P60504. They are 4 psi. Seems a bit high but the carbs have no problem restricting the flow. It doesn't take much to hold back a pound or two.

If memory serves correct the oil injection pump is hooked inline with the fuel line before the carb. There is a linkage coming from the carb or maybe somewhere else that moves the oil injection valve or lever thereby controlling the amount of oil injected.

Maybe on yours the fuel pump could have been made in with the injection pump and that is why you saw the vacuum line going there. Just speculation because I don't know exactly what your model has.

I would have removed the oil injection pump too. If you use the 3 prong fuel pump you will have to hook the vacuum line back up to the fuel pump. If you use an electric you can just leave the vacuum line plugged off.

The intake manifold (what the carb is mounted to) has a nipple sticking out. That is where the fuel pump vacuum line attaches to the motor.

Take a pic of the area in question and post it. Maybe the nipple has broken off or something.

Ok so yes you are right again i found the vaccume line nipple coming out of my intake. Its on the left side of the carb when your looking at the carb from the air box. What got me confused was there is also one on the bottom of intake too. this is where the oil injection line goes and thats where my attention was drawn to because i figured there was only one line hookup.
