Frankenstein Yammy Par Car-Need ID & parts
I was given a Frankenstien half Yamaha half Colombia cart. It's a crazy looking marriage. Need to figure out what year and model. The Vin tag reads 3B 10224 C3 (The half with engine). I also need a muffler, air filter and carb to air cleaner tube for the cOlympia and a front shock to a Yamaha G2 . If you have any available let me know . Thanks.

Unless you find someone on this site willing to part with one you are going to find the muffler is not available. The air filter is all over the place on ebay.Vintage parts probably has the hose but a cheaper way is to use the proper diameter radiator hose. I believe the C3 means it is an 1983 columbia. Have fun.

Re: Frankenstein Yammy Par Car-Need ID & parts
That's one ugly contraption but I see the beauty in things like that. The motor actually looks very clean and complete though.
I make air intake hoses out of bulk hose material that Home Depot sells. Take your air cleaner with you and match it up. Just about any online golf cart parts vendor will have an air cleaner. Raydhd is right. Those mufflers aren't made anymore and it's doubtful that anyone will give one up. That said, as there isn't much to them they really don't go bad. If you have holes or something they can just be patched. Yours actually looks pretty good in the pic. I believe that older HD mufflers, which are still made, can be made to fit also but it takes a bit of fabrication and reuse of some of the pipes on your current muffler. Regarding the Yamaha shock, I don't believe that there is anything special about those. I bet if you popped that off and took it to a parts store they would be able to match it up. |

Thanks for the radiator hose idea. I think that's the route I'll take. I figured that on the muffler. Will just try to bandaid mine up. Frankenstein is definitely beauty challenged but I will be sure to let you all see the bad boy when I'm done. Can anyone tell me the year and model? I can't figure it out. The number is 3B 10224 C3. Do any of you guys think the motor will be able to push the load of 4 people? I think it's only a 8or 9 hp engine.

As I said earlier pretty sure that is a 1983 columbia. When we dumped 3 people on my harley /columbia the rear tires bottomed out. I think the engine will pull 4 people just don't expect any great speed.

Rayhd I overlooked your last comment on it being a 1983. Thanks for that info.

As long as it handle handle the load in good with it being slow. If I need to beef up the shocks i can do that no problem.
