Default Columbia ParCar Switch Fix Schematic

Looking to do the two spdt 5 terminal solenoid fix, just looking for an updated schematic. the old thread just seemed to die off without answering a few questions. Where does the toggle switch fit into the wiring, and how do you hook up the voltage regulator wiring? any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is the diagram that RevStrawhead posted back in 5-30-2012. Thanks for your help!!!

The voltage regulator wiring isn't impacted at all as it's on a different circuit altogether form the ignition circuit. Just leave it as is. Check your wiring diagram if you aren't sure.

That diagram looks complete to me. Where did you read the need for a toggle switch? I am thinking that the only time you would need a toggle is if you only had a two position on / off switch at which case you would need a toggle to switch between f/r. If you had a three position switch though (F - off - R) then you wouldn't need a toggle.

I didn't read that post you referenced so I am just taking a guess.

Hey Lochlin thanks for the reply, I was going by the list of needed items that Strawhead had posted in the thread I was referring to. Here it is.

2-Cole Hersee spdt 5 term solenoids= $56.99/shipping from Ryder Fleet Products.com
get the good ones-it's well worth the extra $.The knock offs are junk-top terms pull through ect.

Had the welding cable.(old set of homemade jumper cables)

20-cable lugs =$11 on E-Bay

4-Diodes= Had them-picked off other electonics I had sitting around-Don't know the ratings but the ones that I thnk should be used are 1N5404- about $2-3 at Radio Shack.Gonna' try & eliminate the use f them by finding a spdt microswitch!

1-On/Off Key Switch= Had it off of a Yami G-2 I found somewhere.

1-spdt 3 position switch (On-Off-On)=Found a pair of Really Kool Russian military switches for $11 on Ebay-the tip glows green on its own -Definately radioactive!

Stainless plate-found (I hate working with stainless, but it looks kool!)

I assume the micro switch would also be wired in after the three way on/off/on switch?
