Not My Par Car
The story goes like this, just because I've owned a couple of carts my Boss decided to make me cart repair man. The cart is actually used by the security people at a local venue that we do alot of work at. So now I'm in the repair business.
Picked up the cart yesterday and was able to determine the voltage regulator is bad. And the air filter is filthy, oil is low and very dirty, etc. So I need some parts and I can't find any numbers stamped anywhere. It's a '96 to '00 model is about all I figured out, has the 4 cycle Briggs motor with what looks like a factory installed bed. The questions are, anybody got any ideas on where to find a number on this thing and where is the best place for parts, checked a few sites, not alot of ParCar stuff out there. |

Re: Not My Par Car
Service and parts manuals are here:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/columbia-parcars/ I would think you could ID the motor in one of those manuals with a bit of invested time.. Yeah those are tough years as that was the time that Columbia was breaking out of the cart business. There are two solid parts suppliers that I know deal in a lot of Columbia stuff. Kraft Implement in Wisconsin and Golf Cart Care in Alliance, Ohio. Neither have robust websites but they each have a lot of Columbia stuff. You can call either with any questions. They are helpful. Now, as that is a B&S motor a ton of parts will be available for it. The peripherals wil be a bit more difficult. |
