Iso: key switch to fit a 91 par car

Looking for a key switch for my 91 par car. I think mines shorted out. When I switch it to reverse it tries to go on it's own without hitting the pedal. I have nothing in forward unless I jump it and the key switch itself is getting really hot so i think something is shorting out

If we jump it we can get it to go forward but as soon as I let up the gas pedal and stop it wont go forward again

Those switches are all over the place. You just have to search. Be warned, they are pricey. That said, believe it or not they have come down in price since the last I check them. They were well over $100 when I last checked.

Given your symptoms it does appear that your switch is going bad.

Yea the best price I've seen is 80.00 for a new one. I know my solenoid is sticking so I'm gonna replace that today then I'll go from there

Scored a used key switch tonight and box of par car parts for 40.00. Shes alive!!...thank you so much for your help. Now it's time to pimp it out...lol
