Electric fuel pump?
What are your thoughts on putting in a small electric fuel pump and doing away with the little vacuum operated one? It's on an early 90's 2 stroke

Re: Electric fuel pump?
My cart is spitting and sputtering really bad. I drained the fuel tank, cleaned it out and put fresh gas in it, cleaned the carb and changed the plug. I even took out the fuel filter to eliminate that as a problem so I'm thinking it might be the fuel pump. I'm considering the little 4-7 psi (I believe that's what it is) from autozone. I just dont know if it shuts down once its pressurized and if it will flood the carb with too much fuel

Re: Electric fuel pump?
Crank the engine with the fuel line off the carb and into a safe container to see if the pump is working. If it is working there will be a good amount flowing. If the pump is bad it will be very noticeable. The low pressure electric works well BUT if the fuel pump is not the issue it won't help.

Re: Electric fuel pump?
I have not. Not sure if it helps or not but I recently did a new top end (jug, piston, rings and gaskets). It was running perfectly fine for a few days. Then it started back firing once in a while for a day and now all it does is spit and sputter. It cant get out of it's own way

Between the carb manifold and the crankcase.
