Default Need help understanding serial number

I'm going to apologize now because I am new to this, but this forum has a lot of useful info and I had to join. I just purchased (very cheap) Columbia par car. I was told it was a 70's par car but I dont think so. Would someone please take a look at the attachment and let me know what i am dealing with. I need to purchase several things, but it's very difficult to do with out the correct year. Thanks, sean

It was hard to see that last digit, but when looking through VIN database, only one comes up with the rest of the numbers. 8E-29151-D9.

8 is for 9hp 4 cycle engine
E is for Eagle
29151 is a consecutive number
D is for 1990's
9 is 9

It's a 1999 P4G (Eagle Gas) vehicle. First sold to Golf Car City in Versalleis MO back in Jan of 99.

Yep. Columbia didn't start making carts until the early to mid 80s and they were all 2 strokes until the mid-90s.
