Need help understanding serial number
I'm going to apologize now because I am new to this, but this forum has a lot of useful info and I had to join. I just purchased (very cheap) Columbia par car. I was told it was a 70's par car but I dont think so. Would someone please take a look at the attachment and let me know what i am dealing with. I need to purchase several things, but it's very difficult to do with out the correct year. Thanks, sean

Re: Need help understanding serial number
It was hard to see that last digit, but when looking through VIN database, only one comes up with the rest of the numbers. 8E-29151-D9.
8 is for 9hp 4 cycle engine E is for Eagle 29151 is a consecutive number D is for 1990's 9 is 9 It's a 1999 P4G (Eagle Gas) vehicle. First sold to Golf Car City in Versalleis MO back in Jan of 99. |

Yep. Columbia didn't start making carts until the early to mid 80s and they were all 2 strokes until the mid-90s.
