Default Walbro/ Mikuni carb question

So after doing the Pertonics module swap on my '91 ParCar, I pulled the Walbro and gave it a good cleaning and inspection and all is well.

Cart starts and runs fine but I am curious about the use of Mikuni carbs. Why would I want to switch and what Mikuni carb would I want?

What about jetting either carb? I am a mile high north of Denver and air is thin.

Sorry about the long time to respond. I was on vacation last week and never checked BGW. I prefer the Mikunis because they only have one speed "circuit" (I think they are called) while the Walbros have two. The Walbros are something like two carbs in one. When starting out, the low speed jet is in play and when a cart gets rolling the high speed jet kicks in. With the Mikuni, there is only one main jet for all speeds. That works better for me. As well, the Mikunis (BV19 or BV24) were used on mid-80s EZGos so they are much more readily available and less expensive as well.

Thank you Lochlin. I had read that you seem to like using the Mikuni's so thought I would ask about them.
So it sounds to me as if you are saying the Mikuni's are an upgrade. I also prefer the simplicity of a single circuit carb but must admit I have little experience with either of these. At least for now.

Those EZGo carbs came in 3 variations but they are all interchangeable. The OEM numbers were: 20071-G1, 26645-G01 and 18342-G1. Knock-offs cost all of about $20.
They were on 82 - 87 EZGos if you want to search by year. Although the new carb will bolt right on with no modifications needed you will have to do a couple of very minor changes on the EZGo carb to make it work. The choke butterfly lever on the new carb will need to moved from one side to the other (takes all of 30 secs to do) and you'll have to reroute your cart's choke cable from beneath the carb to above it, a pretty simple task as well.

I recently obtained two Par Cars, both early 90's. Neither run and both were missing components. I have one close to running and the other has a 420 cc Predator waiting for mock up. I like the idea of switching to the Mikuni simply because of ease of finding them. The Walbro's are few and far between it seems and expensive at that. I have looked up the mikunis and am curious as to why there seems to be two fuel line ports (one has a hose already attached but there seems to be one just beside it. Simply confused if there is some modification that would have to be done to make this work. I must also admit my knowledge of Carbs is limited at best. Thanks for any advice!

That "aleady attached" hose is just for the float bowl overflow. It just hangs there and doesn't attach to anything.
