Default Starting my Par Car

I have a old gas Par Car. It's in pretty good shape especially for its age. Not sure of the year because the serial number, "XL 2010 90" is unknown to everyone. I'm just going with it's a 1990.

This thing is a 2-cycle, starting backwards for reverse. It runs ok, it will hit 18 mph via GPS.

My question is about starting. Is the start/gen suppose to move the cart as it's starting the motor?

Well that is interesting. I did a quick bit of looking around. Didn't find anything on an 8 digit vin for those. Don't know if you already tried, but I would contact vintage golf cart parts. They seem to have the most information of any company I have seen, relating to parcars. They don't have your type of vin, but if you contact them, I would bet they are the most likely to be able to inform you of what you have. As well as get you replacement parts...

If you can post some pictures of your electrical components, that might help others on here to maybe narrow it down for you. Seems all the cart manufacturers have different set-ups for years at a time.

Good luck, hope this helps...

With regard to the starter / gen, it 100% will move the cart even though the engine isn't running. A lot of people confuse a cart's moving with the starter as actual engine action which is it not.
