84 par car drive belt
How often should the drive belt on a 84 par car be replaced? Any insight if it’s easy to do? Thanks

Re: 84 par car drive belt
That belt should be replaced when it breaks OR when it is slipping. You'll know when it is slipping as your cart won't scoot in relation in how high the engine is revving up.
Replacing a belt is simple BUT there is a technique you must deploy: 1) The belt must be rolled off the secondary clutch (the one not attached to the motor). What this means is that you grab the belt near that clutch and kinda of scooch it as far off of the outer clutch edge as you can. 2) With the belt still over the edge, turn that clutch with your hand (the cart will want to roll a bit) and the belt will roll itself off. 3) Push the belt towards the ground at which time you will be able to maneuver it around the primary clutch (the one attached to the rear of the motor). It's simple but it takes some practice to get good at it. |
