Default Gas parcar bearing problem

New here please be kind I am blond...

I just bought a used Columbia Parcar vin number k523239 c8 was told that it is a 1988. it is in good shape for that year..my problem is when i am running it ...it will rattle...alot. the bearing is loose. I have no idea where to find a bearing or what make the motor is. i am assuming that it is with the Harley Davidson family. Is there any way to find out what kind of motor it is so I can find the proper bearing. and do I need special tools to remove the old one. Are there any diagrams I can download to follow. Thanks for all your help..

Welcome to bgw Sandra .... Well you are smarter than some of the guys cuz you posted this in the correct section

You may be off base about a bearing noise? When does it happen?
When the engine runs ?
When the cart is moving?
When you go slow?
When you go fast?

Do you have any previous mechanical experience?

Thanks for the quick reply Scottyb....

It makes noise when it's running and when stopped.
We jacked up the rear wheel so we can look at the motor when it's running as we press on the gas the whole motor shakes and so does the bearing (or is that the crankshaft) Is that any help?

I have a cell phone plan that charges me by the minute except my 10 friends and family. LOL .... you can call any one of our sponsors and they will be able to help you get the correct drive clutch and corresponding drive clutch puller for that cart..... They will not list any HD or Parr parts but all can get them for you. Good Luck

At the back of the drive clutch is their a metal arm that rides on the clutch?

If yes, thats part of the Gov. and it is pretty loud.

Hi Jeggers

Just the clutch a big strap and the pully. When we jacked up the cart in the back we reved the motor and we can see that the bearing was loose. I was told that the bearing is not suppose to move at all.
