Default Want to replace 9HP Vanguard w/18+ HP, kits/help?

I have a 97' Par Car with a 9 HP Vanguard engine. It runs about 13 mph and I'd like to up that to 20+ mph. I'd like to find a kit with a V-twin 18 (or more) HP that would have everything needed to convert. I know I'll probably have to "lift to fit" and that bigger wheels may be needed. I am fairly handy and have access to a mill, lathe, welder, etc. I'd prefer a complete kit, but am willing to modify another brand's kit as long as it doesnt get too involved. Thanks for your help...

Welcome to BGW, BigDaddy! There are a number of sponsors here that shou;d be able to help you out, although a complete Par Car kitmay be a little tough to find a ready-made engine cradle for. I would suggest you give Cart Parts Plus (CPP) a call and see what they have to help you out. You won't regret the change!

Have you done a basic tune up on this engine? You may be able to get the increase in performance that way without the headache of the new motor. but I'm not an expert. Just a thought.
