http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/colum..._1989_GSEL.pdf Go to page 89 on the pdf its page 87 of the maual. The two black wires from the voltage regulator have diods on them ,not in the diagram for some reason. I think this may be the resistor you are reffering to. They are not the same thing. My regulator is broken and it overcharges the battery so I put a switch in on the green wire to keep it from charging. You may want to check this wire, if it is ok them you may have one or two bad diods, I think if you disconect the black wire that has voltage in REV. and only use the one with voltage in FOR. you can remove the diods and charging wire for REV. Hope this helps. |

Re: par car not charging
its in the circuit going to coil. i didnt even realize it was a resistor, looks like a little junction box next to selinoids. ive tried with and with out diods,no change, even reversed the diods.

Re: par car not charging
Have you taken any voltage readings with the green wire connected and disconnected?? With the cart running.

Re: par car not charging
had a professional look at my cart.He installed used wiring harness, new coil, new electric ignition, voltage regulator, put a spring on my carb and broke my windshield(home made). they said it was charging.they only charged me $50 labor(adjusted 14 hrs spent?). I picked it up in below freezing temps. wouldnt run right outside but did inside, was too cold to ride it so i throught it on trailer took it to camp. when i went too get it off trailer the battery was dead, they did not put a resistor in before the coil should there be. i got pissed and pushed it into car port and took my frozen *** home. I called them on my way home said if i have problems bring it back. Cheap price worries me, but friends have had good luck there.
