86 gas columbia F+R switch conversion
Has anyone tried this kit?
I read the other thread where the guy made his own. Tech support says the new switches that columbia was supposed to test never showed up. I need a fix and was wondering if this would be more reliable. Thanks http://www.golfcartcare.com/Merchant...roduct_Count=0 |

Re: 86 gas columbia F+R switch conversion
I'm the guy that did my own conversion,I looked at that kit & just wanted to do it myself using my own parts.
The cost was a little more than the kit,But I used larger cables & better (in my opinion) solenoids. Good luck if you use the kit & I would be interested to hear how it worked out,I'm sure it is a quality set-up. Keep us posted! |

Re: 86 gas columbia F+R switch conversion
Tech support seems to think that Columbia is going to get some new switches in the next week or so. I can't use the cart right now anyway so i am going to give them another week or two before I pull the trigger and do the conversion. After talking to the guy about the kit he was selling I think it may be a little complicated for my electrical sense. I would think columbia would have to come up with something since this switch is on so many carts.

I would have thought so too. In all honesty, convert it. I'm not confident our Chinese "friends" are going to pull through for us. I did a double solenoid conversion with a key here, but the cost was a lot more than that kit price.

Re: 86 gas columbia F+R switch conversion
Does anyone have the schematic to make this kit I might be able to build these kits cheaper than $70.00, but I need a schematic and wire specs.
