I don't have experience with the full production of Columbia products, so maybe a short history from their website will help.

Excerpt from http://parcar.com/ngp/!stmenu_templa...tion_id_in=270

Columbia ParCar Corp. (Columbia) has a rich heritage in producing electric and gas powered vehicles that dates back to 1946, making Columbia the most experienced manufacturer in its field.

Columbia owns and operates the small vehicle manufacturing activities formerly operated by such well known companies as Harley Davidson®, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation®.

In 1999, Columbia completed its acquisition activities which provided a strong foundation upon which the company built the broadest product line of golf, industrial, and commercial vehicles in the industry.

In 2000, Columbia expanded its line to add Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEV’s) which today includes the MEGA, Columbia’s newest entrant into the Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) market.

Columbia’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, from where its products are distributed through an extensive international network of independent Dealers.

Columbia ParCar Corp. is a member of the Nordic Group of Companies, a family-owned management and manufacturing business headquartered in Baraboo, Wisconsin with manufacturing operations extending throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe and include Flambeau and Seats Incorporated, leaders in their respective industries.

Now, I will tell you what experience I do have with Harley Davidson - Columbia ParCar products. In the late 1970s I worked at the airport next door to my house and they used a Harley Davidson golf cart as their main utility vehicle. It towed everything on the line. We used it to tow the gliders and aircraft and just to get back and forth.

The cart we had was old when we were using it meaning it was probably a late 60s or early 70s model. It seemed to always run like magic. Sit down and push down the accelerator and it ran.

Now, I haven't used one in over 30 years, but I recently decided that the kids could use a new toy. Motorcycles and 4 wheelers being too expensive or noisy in a neighborhood of jerks that already want to put me in the poor house would never put up with them, so I figured a good old golf cart would be the way to go. I found one on Craig's List and even though it was a little newer than the one I used back in the 70s the 3 wheeled wonder should be some fun.

I can't tell you who made all the parts, or what transmission it has, but I know that it ran when we picked it up and it's 24 years old. Sure it needed some parts replaced to be correct, but then I found out that it wasn't just "proper" parts I needed. It was running with a broken carburetor. How many new motorized machines can you say that about.

I wouldn't worry too much about Columbia products.

thanks for the reply just ducky it's appreciated. I still have to figure what year it is but here is all I know, I bought it from an old man who bought it from an old man you know how that goes. In my case it was an impulse buy I just had to have it, It was sitting in a garage not running due to the fuel pickup being dislodged, the second old man figured this out and got it running pretty good, He also blocked off the oil injector and removed the oil tank stating "I've seen too many of these things seized up due to stupid people forgetting to add oil" so now I will just use premix which I have no problem doing.I tweaked the carb due to a lean backfiring condition and that fixed that. I never would have seen myself in a golf cart but now that I have one, my quad is gathering dust. If anyone else can add to this it would be appreciated.

Check the frame, just above the left rear well for a VIN which would give the year of the cart. Once you have that, the manuals are online at www.buggiesgonewild.com/columbia-parcars

Good luck.
