lifting my 88 and have questions
Hey all, working on my 88 par car and trying to lift it. decided on 4" so the driven clutch will clear the swing arm frame. doing the rear end before i begin working on the front. The riser blocks I made for the rear have no shift, as in I didnt shift the rear end housing forward or back. When assembling I noticed the pulleys dont line up exactly centered. the bell sheeves to the rear on both clutches line up but both fronts are off. is this a problem i need to address or will they center when the belt is attatched?
Also i measured for the belt length and came up with 36 1/4" around the center shaft of the primary clutch and around the outter diameter of the driven clutch. Ive read to measure that then add 2" to get an approx belt length in another post here. Is this correct or does anyone have any other input on this? Thank you for any help you're willing to give |
