89 Columbia gas choke to start
I'm new to the forum and have an 89 Columbia gas cart that I bought last year. When I bought it it went forward just fine, but had to pull the choke to go in reverse. Last month all at once it had to be choked to go forward and reverse and had no power. I changed the gas, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the spark plug, reset the timing and it still runs bad. I noticed oil around the primary drive and a little around the ignition module. The compression is 105 forward and 108 in reverse. I'm thinking oil seals but want confirmation before I decide whether to tackle this myself. If it is the oil/crank seals can I replace them without pulling the engine. I could use any tips or advice as I am new to this.

Re: 89 Columbia gas choke to start
Ok. I put a rebuild kit in the fuel pump and that didn't help. Decided to replace the clutch side oil seal. Got the cover off and the bolt off the end of the crank shaft but I can't get the clutch off. The manual said there is a special tool. There are threads in the clutch where the bolt was but I can't get anything to move. I will try to attach a picture. Please give me any suggestions or thoughts.
